Parya Trillium Foundation Project - Glad to support and join alongside the Premier of Ontario, Hon. Doug Ford, MPP Kanapathi and MPP Calandra to announce Federal and Ontario's funding announcement for this community centre expansion in Markham. For more, click here.


Pre-budget Consultation - Thank you to special guest the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Finance, MPP Stan Cho, and to all constituents and stakeholders for attending Markham-Unionville’s Pre-budget Consultation. Your thoughts matter and all that were shared will help as our province prepares for the 2021 budget.


Union Villa LTC (Vaccine) - It was wonderful to speak with some members from Union Villa to hear about the great news that their residents and healthcare heroes have received the second dose of Moderna vaccine and are fully vaccinated!


Ontario Small Business Grant Info/Q&A Session - Thank you to the Associate Minister of Small Business and Red Tape Reduction, Hon. Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria, and to local stakeholders for attending this session.

Union Villa Long-Term Care (Funding) - Congratulations for being one of the recipients of the 2020-21 Ontario’s Seniors Active Living program and receiving additional LTC support from the Prevention and Containment Fund!

FM105.9  - It was a pleasure to attend the channel’s Lunar New Year - Year of Ox Greetings to offer my best wishes to Markham-Unionville residents and all audiences, and provide the Ontario government’s outlook towards the New Year.


Cheers! - Congratulations to constituents, Jose Cordeiro for your reappointment to the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and Cristina Cordeiro for your appointment to the Council of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario!


Housing Development Input  - Great meeting with constituents of Markham-Unionville, Albert Chik, Vidya Rajagopal, Derik Li, James Hong, Sherry Ng, Emily Leung, Eddie Wong and Kevin Kwan. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me around housing development. I value your input and will continue to listen and explore all options to support my constituents.


Markham Seniors Activity Centre (Funding) - Congratulations to Markham Seniors Activity Centre for being one of the recipients of 2020-21 Ontario’s Seniors Active Living Centre program funding! It was a pleasure to meet some of the dedicated program coordinators and learn more about the activities organized by the centre to our seniors.


Provincial Updates


Ontario Small Business Support Grant - Applications are now open for small business support. This grant will provide eligible small businesses affected by the Provincewide Shutdown. For more on eligibility and to apply, click here.



Main Street Relief Grant - Ontario has expanded the grant to help small businesses with 2-19 employees in all eligible sectors for a one-time grant of up to $1,000 to help with the cost of #PPE. For more info and to apply, click here.

Administering COVID-19 Vaccine Opportunity - Ontario is enabling more health care providers to administer the COVID-19 vaccine as quickly & safely as possible. For more information and to apply, click here.
